Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Recycling Sorter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our recycling process, ensuring that materials are properly sorted and prepared for further processing. This involves working efficiently and accurately to separate different types of recyclable materials, including paper, plastic, glass, and metal. The role requires physical stamina and attention to detail, as well as a commitment to safety procedures. You will be part of a team working to make a positive impact on the environment, and your efforts will contribute directly to the success of our recycling operation. This is a physically demanding role, requiring you to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items. We provide thorough training on all safety procedures and equipment usage. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort recyclable materials according to established guidelines.
- Identify and separate different types of recyclables (paper, plastic, glass, metal, etc.).
- Remove any non-recyclable items from the sorting line.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Assist in other recycling facility operations as needed.
