Are you an experienced and meticulous Quantity Surveyor seeking a challenging opportunity with a leading construction powerhouse in Kuwait? As a Quantity Surveyor at CGC, you will be instrumental in ensuring the financial viability and profitability of our construction projects from inception to completion. Your responsibilities will span the entire project lifecycle, involving detailed cost estimation, preparation of tender documents, contract procurement, and the comprehensive management of project budgets. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, providing expert advice on contractual matters and cost-related issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budget proposals, and tender documents for construction projects.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
  • Administer construction contracts, including FIDIC or similar standard forms, ensuring compliance.
  • Manage and negotiate project variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure budget adherence.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on all financial and contractual matters.
  • Conduct risk and value management assessments to optimize project outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment applications.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual disputes and commercial issues.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide regular financial reports to management.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of contract law and standard forms of contracts (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional membership with RICS, CIOB, or a similar recognized institution.
  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure or building projects in the GCC region.
  • Knowledge of local Kuwaiti market practices and regulations.
  • Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is a plus.
  • Post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
