Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and rigorously maintain comprehensive quality control procedures, standards, and robust protocols across all critical stages of footwear production.
- Meticulously oversee and manage the detailed inspection of all incoming raw materials, conduct thorough in-process production checks, and perform final product inspections to ensure absolute compliance with stringent specifications and predefined quality benchmarks.
- Lead, mentor, train, and effectively manage a dedicated team of Quality Control inspectors, providing ongoing professional development, constructive feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Proactively investigate and efficiently resolve all quality-related issues, customer complaints, and identified non-conformances, implementing robust and effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Conduct regular, comprehensive audits of production processes, facilities, and vendor operations to identify areas ripe for improvement and ensure consistent adherence to all established quality protocols.
- Collaborate strategically with the Research & Development, Production, and Supply Chain departments to establish clear quality specifications for new product introductions and to continuously optimize quality standards for existing product lines.
- Prepare and present detailed, insightful quality reports, comprehensive analyses, and actionable recommendations to senior management on a regular basis.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with all relevant local and international industry standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable certifications (e.g., ISO, national quality marks).
- Manage the proper calibration, maintenance, and optimal functioning of all quality control equipment and precision tools.
- Drive and champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at consistently enhancing product quality, significantly reducing waste, and improving overall operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in Quality Control management within a high-volume manufacturing environment, specifically in footwear, leather goods, or textiles.
- Strong foundational knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001 principles and implementation).
- Excellent analytical and incisive problem-solving skills coupled with an exceptionally keen eye for minute detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistical process control (SPC), and various quality improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
