Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
- Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, preparing detailed reports on findings.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in the investigation of root causes for defects and the implementation of preventive measures.
- Monitor and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Demonstrated expertise in using various precision measuring instruments.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to generate clear and concise inspection reports.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or degree is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical field.
- Certifications in Quality Inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector – CQI).
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
- Prior experience in the aluminium or metals manufacturing industry.
