Job Description

Are you a meticulous professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the highest quality standards? Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) invites applications for a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our dynamic team in Dubai. This critical role is integral to maintaining the superior quality of our aluminium products, from raw materials through to the final finished goods. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be on the front lines, implementing robust inspection procedures, conducting thorough analyses, and meticulously documenting findings to uphold EGA’s renowned reputation for excellence.

You will play a pivotal role in preventing defects, ensuring compliance with international standards and internal specifications, and contributing directly to our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a collaborative team, interacting closely with production, engineering, and supply chain departments. Your expertise will not only identify non-conformances but also contribute to the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement across our manufacturing processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using various precision measuring instruments. You will interpret blueprints, schematics, and quality manuals to ensure all products meet stringent design and performance criteria. Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, generate comprehensive reports, and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders. A strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC) techniques will be highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, preparing detailed reports on findings.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Participate in the investigation of root causes for defects and the implementation of preventive measures.
  • Monitor and verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role, preferably in manufacturing or heavy industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated expertise in using various precision measuring instruments.
  • Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to generate clear and concise inspection reports.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a technical diploma or degree is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical field.
  • Certifications in Quality Inspection (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector – CQI).
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques.
  • Prior experience in the aluminium or metals manufacturing industry.
