Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to join our growing team in Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in designing, developing, and implementing automated testing frameworks. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by identifying and resolving defects throughout the software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and other QA team members to achieve our quality objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of software development methodologies, testing principles, and automation tools. Your ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment will be critical to success. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and technologies.
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify and report defects.
- Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve defects.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Document testing activities and results thoroughly.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cypress)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#)
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or REST-assured
- Experience with SQL and database testing
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with performance and load testing
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- ISTQB or similar certification
