Job Description
We are actively seeking an experienced, results-oriented, and dynamic Project Manager with a specialized focus on Infrastructure to lead and oversee critical and complex projects from their initial conception through to successful, timely completion. The ideal candidate will possess an extensive and deep understanding of the intricacies involved in large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure works, which includes the development of intricate road networks, essential utility systems, advanced water treatment facilities, and other related vital public amenities. This pivotal role demands a strong, decisive leader capable of effectively managing multi-disciplinary engineering and construction teams, adeptly coordinating with a diverse array of stakeholders—ranging from key clients and expert consultants to a network of specialized subcontractors. Your primary objective will be to ensure that all assigned projects are delivered punctually, remain strictly within the allocated budget, and consistently adhere to the highest possible quality and safety standards. You will assume comprehensive responsibility for the entire project lifecycle, encompassing detailed planning, efficient execution, rigorous monitoring, stringent control, and professional closure, while strictly complying with all prevailing safety regulations and environmental protection policies. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of infrastructure projects, from conceptualization and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, detailed schedules, budgets, and efficient resource allocation strategies.
- Oversee and motivate the project team, providing clear guidance, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration and achievement.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, stringent quality standards, robust safety regulations, and environmental compliance policies throughout project duration.
- Manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and detailed financial reporting, ensuring cost-effective execution and prudent financial management.
- Negotiate, administer, and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and optimal performance.
- Proactively identify, thoroughly assess, and effectively mitigate project risks and issues, developing robust contingency plans to minimize impact.
- Maintain strong, transparent, and collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, governmental authorities, and other key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular, comprehensive project progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting achievements, challenges, and forecasts.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project management specifically for large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of recognized project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2) and practical application of project management tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Proficiency in industry-standard project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Deep understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and risk management strategies.
- Ability to work effectively and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent internationally recognized certification.
- Extensive experience with FIDIC contracts and their application in large infrastructure projects.
- Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is a significant advantage.
- Prior experience working on major infrastructure projects within the GCC region.
