Job Description
KEO International Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect to join our dynamic team in Kuwait City. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented professional to lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of prestigious and challenging architectural projects from conception through to completion. The Project Architect will be instrumental in translating client visions into innovative and practical design solutions, ensuring adherence to design intent, budget, schedule, and quality standards. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire architectural process, including concept development, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects from inception to completion, ensuring design integrity and project objectives are met.
- Develop architectural designs, including concept, schematic, design development, and construction documentation packages.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (structural, MEP, landscape, interior design) to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Interface directly with clients to understand their needs, present design concepts, and manage expectations.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure all designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and international standards.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively.
- Conduct site visits and inspections during construction to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Mentor junior architects and provide technical guidance to the project team.
- Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals from contractors.
- Identify potential design or construction issues and propose effective solutions.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in architectural design and project management, preferably with large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant architectural software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction practices in Kuwait or the GCC region.
- Excellent design, presentation, and communication skills (both verbal and written in English).
- Ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Professional registration/license (e.g., KSE, RIBA, AIA).
- Experience with sustainable design principles (LEED, GSAS accreditation).
- Proficiency in 3D rendering and visualization software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape).
- Fluency in Arabic is a plus.
- Previous experience working with international consulting firms.
