Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Professional Plumber for Building Maintenance to join our dynamic facilities management team in Kukwuaba, Abuja. This pivotal role involves ensuring the optimal functioning and integrity of plumbing systems across our diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of plumbing tasks, from routine inspections and preventative maintenance to complex repairs and new installations. You will be a critical part of maintaining safe, efficient, and comfortable environments for our clients and staff. We are looking for an individual who is not only technically proficient but also possesses excellent problem-solving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues before they escalate. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drainage, and water heaters.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex plumbing issues, accurately identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, and industrial-grade equipment.
  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls, ensuring timely resolution to minimize disruption and damage.
  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to plan and execute plumbing installations or modifications.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, building codes, and industry standards during all plumbing operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, materials used, and equipment serviced.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors to ensure integrated and efficient facility operations.
  • Provide expert advice and recommendations on plumbing system upgrades, efficiency improvements, and preventative measures.

Required Skills

  • Proven expertise in plumbing system installation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities for various plumbing issues.
