Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Kingston, Jamaica. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of production personnel on the beverage/food processing lines.
- Ensure strict adherence to quality control standards, food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP), and company policies.
- Monitor production schedules and output, adjusting resources and processes as necessary to meet targets efficiently.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, skill development, and team improvement.
- Troubleshoot operational issues with equipment and processes, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions promptly.
- Maintain accurate production records, including inventory, waste analysis, and downtime reports for informed decision-making.
- Implement and enforce all health and safety protocols to ensure a secure and accident-free working environment.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and contribute to cost reduction and efficiency enhancement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a supervisory role within food or beverage manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and other relevant food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot production equipment and processes, identifying root causes and solutions.
- Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex operational challenges.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for reporting and communication.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by production demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
