Job Description

Lynn Manufacturing Inc. is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Supervisor to join our operations in Lynn, Massachusetts. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of production personnel on your assigned shift, ensuring optimal staffing and resource allocation.
  • Ensure all production operations strictly adhere to safety standards, established quality control procedures, and company policies and regulations.
  • Monitor production schedules, material flow, and equipment performance to meet challenging production targets and deadlines efficiently.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development needs for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Implement and champion continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles, to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Proactively troubleshoot production issues, resolve equipment malfunctions swiftly, and minimize downtime through effective problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate production records, track inventory levels, and ensure thorough quality documentation for all processes and products.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Engineering, to optimize overall plant performance and achieve synergistic outcomes.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, open communication, and professional development among your team.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertinent to manufacturing operations and employee safety.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control methodologies.
  • Demonstrated exceptional leadership ability with excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective decision-making under pressure.
  • Ability to read and accurately interpret technical documents, blueprints, and detailed production specifications.
  • Thorough familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting, with a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Basic computer literacy, including intermediate experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a closely related technical field.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher), or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Prior experience in refractory ceramic fiber or similar high-temperature materials manufacturing.
  • Bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish/English) are considered a significant advantage.
