Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, components, and services essential for manufacturing operations.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential vendors, evaluate capabilities, and manage supplier relationships.
- Lead complex negotiations for contracts, terms, and pricing to secure the most favorable agreements for the company.
- Manage the entire procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs, addressing any quality, delivery, or cost issues proactively.
- Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply chain reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to understand material requirements and support new product development.
- Manage inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure optimal stock without overstocking or shortages.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by identifying alternative suppliers and developing contingency plans.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and new technologies in procurement and manufacturing.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role in the manufacturing industry (minimum 4 years).
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM).
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and manufacturing processes.
