We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst to join our dynamic team in Melbourne. This pivotal role will be instrumental in optimising our procurement strategies and enhancing supply chain efficiency across various operations. As a Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to identify trends, forecast demands, and recommend strategic improvements that drive cost savings and operational excellence. You will work closely with procurement, operations, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of strategies and processes. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis on procurement spend, supplier performance, and supply chain metrics to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
- Develop and maintain robust reporting tools and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track the effectiveness of procurement and supply chain initiatives.
- Support the sourcing team by preparing detailed spend analyses, market research, and tender documentation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into procurement strategies and supply chain improvements.
- Participate in supplier negotiations and contract management, providing data-driven insights to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
- Analyse inventory levels, lead times, and demand forecasts to optimise stock management and minimise obsolescence.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring continuity of supply and operational resilience.
- Contribute to the implementation of new procurement technologies and processes to enhance automation and data accuracy.
- Prepare presentations and reports for management, clearly communicating findings, recommendations, and progress on projects.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement, supply chain, or data analysis role.
- Proven ability to analyse complex data sets and extract actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain principles, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and dedicated procurement software.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and modelling techniques.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) or Procurement (e.g., CPSM).
