Job Description

As a Process Improvement Consultant at NTT Data Corporation in Tokyo, you will be at the forefront of driving operational excellence and strategic change for our diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of current business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, and Business Process Management (BPM).
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to gather requirements, define solutions, and gain consensus.
  • Design and document future-state processes, operational procedures, and performance metrics.
  • Lead or support the implementation of new processes and systems, ensuring successful adoption and sustained benefits.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports, recommendations, and progress updates to clients and internal management.
  • Provide coaching and training to client teams on process improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in process improvement and digital transformation.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in process analysis, design, and improvement within a consulting or large enterprise environment.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in both Japanese (business level) and English (professional working proficiency).
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Miro) and project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or other automation technologies.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience working in a global or multicultural team environment.
  • Prior experience in IT services or specific industry sectors such as finance, manufacturing, or public sector.
