The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reliable and efficient transportation for the client, family members, and occasional guests. Beyond just driving, this role requires proactive vehicle maintenance, diligent route planning, and the ability to adapt to changing schedules with grace and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services for the client, family members, and guests as required.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in pristine condition, ensuring cleanliness, regular servicing, and adherence to all safety standards.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs or issues promptly.
- Plan efficient routes, considering traffic, road conditions, and client preferences to ensure punctuality.
- Manage fuel levels, tolls, parking, and other vehicle-related logistics effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing passenger safety at all times.
- Maintain a high level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality regarding the client's affairs.
- Assist passengers with luggage, shopping, and other items as needed, providing courteous service.
- Be flexible with working hours, including evenings, weekends, and occasional public holidays, based on the client's schedule.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance.
- Stay updated on local road networks, alternative routes, and potential traffic hotspots in Auchi and broader Edo State.
- Run occasional errands or assist with light tasks related to the household's needs when driving duties permit.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years of proven professional driving experience, preferably as a personal chauffeur or executive driver
- Excellent knowledge of Auchi, Edo State, and surrounding areas road networks
- Impeccable driving record with no history of serious traffic violations or accidents
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules
- Proficiency in basic smartphone navigation applications (e.g., Google Maps)
