MacTay Consulting is seeking a professional and dedicated Private Driver on behalf of a confidential, high-profile private employer in Alapere, Lagos. This is a full-time, live-in position designed for an individual who values stability, professionalism, and the convenience of on-site accommodation.
As the Private Driver, you will be an integral part of supporting the daily life and schedule of our client, ensuring their safe, comfortable, and timely transportation. This role demands a high level of responsibility, excellent driving skills, a thorough understanding of Lagos road networks, and an unwavering commitment to discretion and confidentiality. You will be responsible for transporting the employer to various appointments, meetings, social engagements, and personal errands within Lagos and occasionally outside the metropolis. Beyond driving, you will maintain the vehicle’s pristine condition, manage its servicing schedule, and ensure all associated documentation (e.g., insurance, vehicle license) is current. The ideal candidate will be proactive, flexible, well-groomed, and possess a calm demeanor under pressure. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport the employer to scheduled appointments, meetings, and personal engagements.
- Plan and execute the most efficient routes, considering traffic conditions and road safety.
- Maintain the vehicle(s) in impeccable condition, including regular cleaning (interior and exterior) and minor upkeep.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, arrange for servicing, repairs, and inspections as needed.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation (license, insurance, roadworthiness) is current and valid.
- Assist with errands and other tasks as required by the employer, demonstrating initiative and helpfulness.
- Adhere strictly to confidentiality and privacy protocols regarding the employer's personal and professional life.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the employer with respect.
- Be available for flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as dictated by the employer’s schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service and anticipate the employer’s transportation needs.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle expenses for accountability.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional driving experience, preferably as a private or corporate driver.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks and traffic patterns.
- Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics for basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
