Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging, synchronous and asynchronous online lessons aligned with the South African CAPS curriculum for primary grades.
- Utilize a variety of digital educational tools and platforms to facilitate interactive and effective remote learning experiences.
- Assess student progress through online assignments, projects, and virtual assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Manage a virtual classroom environment, ensuring student participation, engagement, and adherence to online learning protocols.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students, parents/guardians, and school administration regarding student performance, well-being, and curriculum updates via virtual meetings, email, and designated communication platforms.
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students in a remote setting, including those requiring special accommodations.
- Collaborate with other remote teachers and school staff to share best practices, develop integrated online curricula, and support overall school goals.
- Participate in virtual professional development sessions and school meetings to enhance teaching skills and contribute to the online learning community.
- Maintain accurate online records of student attendance, grades, and progress, ensuring data privacy and integrity.
- Foster a positive and inclusive online learning atmosphere that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and mutual respect among students.
Required Skills
