As a Port Operations Manager at Patrick Terminals, you will be at the forefront of our operational excellence in Sydney. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily port terminal operations, including vessel loading/unloading, cargo handling, and yard management.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of operations staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
- Manage resource allocation, including equipment, personnel, and infrastructure, to meet operational demands.
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., maintenance, IT, commercial) and external stakeholders (e.g., shipping lines, customs, port authorities).
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
- Identify and implement innovative solutions and technologies to optimize port processes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Respond to and resolve operational disruptions, emergencies, and customer issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare operational reports and presentations for senior management.
