WASAC is seeking a motivated and hardworking Plumber Assistant to join our dedicated team in Rwamagana, Eastern Province, with a specific focus on pipe fitting. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified plumbers and pipe fitters in all aspects of their work, primarily focusing on pipe installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Prepare work sites by gathering, organizing, and transporting tools, equipment, and materials.
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes according to specifications, under supervision.
- Dig trenches and clear pathways for new pipe installations or repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools are properly cleaned and stored after use.
- Learn and strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support in the inspection of plumbing systems to identify issues and assist with troubleshooting.
- Perform general labor tasks as required to support plumbing operations.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning new techniques and adapting to various work challenges.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
- Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Basic understanding of safety practices in a construction or utility environment.
