Danco Properties is actively seeking a motivated and eager Plumber Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance and construction team in Auchi, Edo. As a Plumber Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our licensed plumbers with various tasks related to installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in our diverse range of properties.
This role involves assisting with preparing work sites, transporting tools and materials, performing basic plumbing tasks, and ensuring all safety protocols are meticulously followed. You will be exposed to a wide array of plumbing challenges, from routine leak repairs and drain unblocking to assisting with complex pipe installations in new developments. We are looking for someone who is reliable, physically capable, possesses a strong work ethic, and is genuinely interested in learning the plumbing trade. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers in all aspects of plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Prepare work areas by gathering tools, equipment, and materials as instructed.
- Transport tools and materials to and from job sites efficiently and safely.
- Help with basic tasks such as cutting and threading pipes, soldering, and assembling fittings.
- Support in diagnosing plumbing issues and identifying optimal solutions.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Perform general clean-up of job sites after work is completed.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Learn and apply best practices in plumbing techniques and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with tenants or clients on job sites.
- Assist with digging trenches and preparing pipe pathways as needed.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by the lead plumber or supervisor.
