Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary medical care to patients of all ages, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Perform routine physical examinations, health screenings, and preventative care.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based guidelines.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies.
- Prescribe medications, vaccinations, and other treatments.
- Refer patients to specialists as appropriate and coordinate care with other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHRs).
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education (CME) activities.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all medical ethics, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Current, unrestricted California medical license.
- DEA registration.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred upon hire, required within 6 months).
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to serve our diverse patient population.
- Prior experience working within an integrated healthcare system.
