Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established and thriving adult primary care practice in Aurora, Illinois. This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to provide comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare services within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations for adult patients.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as appropriate and within scope of practice.
- Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
- Perform minor in-office procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
- Refer patients to specialists as needed.
Required Skills
- Current PA license in the State of Illinois.
- Current NCCPA board certification.
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current DEA registration.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in primary care or internal medicine.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic EHR system.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in preventative medicine and chronic disease management.
