Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established and thriving adult primary care practice in Aurora, Illinois. This pivotal role offers an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to provide comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare services within a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for a wide range of clinical duties, including conducting thorough patient histories and physical examinations, diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Our PAs are empowered to act as primary care providers under the supervision of our experienced physicians, fostering strong, long-term relationships with adult patients. You will play a crucial role in preventative care, health education, and promoting overall wellness, helping our diverse patient population achieve their optimal health goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations for adult patients.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
  • Diagnose and treat common acute and chronic illnesses and injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as appropriate and within scope of practice.
  • Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
  • Perform minor in-office procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed.

Required Skills

  • Current PA license in the State of Illinois.
  • Current NCCPA board certification.
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in primary care or internal medicine.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Epic EHR system.
  • Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated interest in preventative medicine and chronic disease management.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations.
