Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead photographers with equipment setup, breakdown, and maintenance (cameras, lighting, backdrops, props).
- Manage and organize photographic equipment before, during, and after shoots.
- Provide lighting assistance, holding reflectors, diffusers, or ensuring correct light placement.
- Act as a second shooter or provide behind-the-scenes coverage when required, under supervision.
- Support photographers during shoots by engaging subjects, managing logistics, and maintaining schedules.
- Assist with basic photo editing, culling, and file management using industry-standard software.
- Prepare and pack gear for off-site assignments and ensure its safe transport.
- Maintain a tidy and organized studio or workspace, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling support, client communication, and general office assistance as needed.
- Research and scout potential shoot locations or concepts, contributing creative input to projects.
- Collaborate effectively with the creative team to bring concepts to life, offering ideas and solutions.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of photographic principles (composition, exposure, lighting).
- Familiarity with various camera equipment and accessories.
- Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop) is a plus, but willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with clients and team members.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively and proactively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and take initiative when appropriate.
- Physical stamina to carry and set up equipment, including potentially heavy lighting stands and camera gear.
