Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand project scope, objectives, and creative vision for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and prepare for shoots, including scouting locations, arranging equipment, and developing shot lists.
- Execute high-quality photography for a diverse range of subjects, including corporate events, product photography, marketing campaigns, portraits, and architectural shots.
- Operate professional camera equipment, lighting, and other accessories proficiently.
- Perform advanced photo editing and retouching using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop) to ensure consistent brand aesthetic and high-quality deliverables.
- Manage and organize digital assets, including file naming, backups, and secure storage.
- Ensure timely delivery of edited images to clients, adhering to deadlines and project specifications.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent client service on all assignments.
- Stay updated with photography trends, techniques, and equipment advancements.
- Build and maintain a strong portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio in events and commercial photography.
- Proficiency in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Expertise in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for post-production editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, color theory, and visual storytelling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and project teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations within Abuja for assignments.
- Ownership of professional photography equipment (camera bodies, lenses, flashes, tripods, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with video production and editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with graphic design principles for enhancing visual content.
- Existing network of clients and referrals in the Abuja market.
