Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute photography shoots for various events, including corporate functions, conferences, weddings, social gatherings, and private parties.
- Conduct commercial photography sessions for products, lifestyle brands, corporate portraits, and marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client briefs and brand guidelines.
- Utilize professional camera equipment, lighting setups, and other accessories to achieve high-quality images in diverse settings.
- Perform extensive post-production work, including culling, color correction, retouching, and image manipulation using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of final edited images to clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision, expectations, and provide regular updates on project progress.
- Maintain and care for personal photography equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition for all assignments.
- Proactively seek out and propose creative solutions and artistic directions to enhance project outcomes.
- Adhere to project timelines and deliver assignments promptly while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a professional photographer, specializing in events and commercial work.
- Exceptional portfolio showcasing a range of event and commercial photography projects.
- Proficiency in advanced photography techniques, including natural light, artificial lighting, studio setups, and composition.
- Expert-level command of Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop for post-processing and editing.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and branding principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse clients.
- High degree of professionalism, reliability, and time management skills.
- Access to and proficiency with professional-grade photography equipment (DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with drone photography and videography for events or commercial projects.
- Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite applications (e.g., Premiere Pro, Illustrator).
- Prior experience working with diverse industries in Abuja.
- Knowledge of local event venues and commercial shoot locations in Abuja.
