We are actively seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated Freelance Photographer specializing in both Event and Commercial photography to join our esteemed network of professionals. This is a unique opportunity for a creative individual to partner with Career.supersecrets, leveraging your artistic vision and technical prowess to capture compelling visuals for our diverse clientele within Aso Rock, Abuja, and surrounding areas. As a freelance photographer, you will be instrumental in immortalizing significant moments at corporate functions, private celebrations, and public gatherings, as well as producing high-quality imagery for commercial purposes including product photography, corporate branding, advertising campaigns, and professional headshots.
This role demands a keen eye for detail, an understanding of various lighting conditions, and the ability to adapt quickly to different environments and client briefs. You will work independently on assignments, managing your schedule and deliverables while maintaining open communication with our project managers. Your portfolio should demonstrate a versatile skill set, showcasing your ability to tell a story through images, capture the essence of an event, and produce polished, commercially viable photographs that meet and exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, and execute photography shoots for various events (e.g., conferences, weddings, concerts, corporate gatherings) and commercial projects (e.g., product launches, fashion shoots, advertising campaigns).
- Collaborate closely with clients and project managers to understand project requirements, creative vision, and desired outcomes.
- Utilize a range of professional photography equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and tripods, to achieve high-quality results.
- Perform post-production tasks, including culling, editing, retouching, and color correction, to deliver polished and client-ready images.
- Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring proper backup and timely delivery of final files.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills when interacting with clients and subjects.
- Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and photography techniques to continuously enhance your craft.
- Adhere to project deadlines and ensure all deliverables meet Career.supersecrets' quality standards.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Event and/or Commercial Photographer (minimum 3 years).
- Expert proficiency with professional-grade DSLR/Mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Advanced knowledge of photography principles, including composition, lighting, and exposure.
- Strong command of Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or other professional photo editing software.
- Excellent visual storytelling abilities and a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse work.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations within Abuja for assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Photography, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
