Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly talented and experienced freelance Photographer to join our network of creative professionals, specializing in events and commercial photography. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented and creative individual to work on diverse projects across Utako, Abuja, capturing high-quality images that tell compelling stories and meet our clients’ specific needs. As a freelance photographer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering exceptional visual content for a variety of assignments, ranging from corporate events, product launches, conferences, and social gatherings to commercial advertising campaigns, lifestyle shoots, and brand content.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of lighting, composition, and post-production techniques, and a professional demeanor suitable for interacting with clients and subjects in various settings. Your ability to adapt to different environments and client briefs, manage your time effectively, and consistently deliver high-quality work on schedule will be paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and project managers to understand photography briefs, objectives, and desired outcomes for each assignment.
- Plan and execute photography sessions for various events (e.g., corporate functions, conferences, parties) and commercial projects (e.g., product photography, brand campaigns, portraits).
- Set up and manage all necessary photographic equipment, including cameras, lenses, lighting, and backdrops, ensuring optimal conditions for each shoot.
- Capture high-resolution images that are creatively composed, well-lit, and aligned with client specifications and brand guidelines.
- Perform extensive post-production editing, including culling, color correction, retouching, and cropping, using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring proper cataloging and secure storage of all photographic work.
- Deliver final edited images in specified formats and within agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is always in excellent working condition.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, techniques, and equipment advancements.

Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional photographer, specifically in events and commercial photography.
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, various lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for advanced photo editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of photography principles, including composition, lighting, exposure, and color theory.
- Excellent visual storytelling and creative composition skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
- A professional portfolio showcasing diverse event and commercial photography work.
- Ownership of professional-grade photography equipment (camera body, lenses, external flash/lighting).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
