Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute photographic assignments for various events (e.g., conferences, weddings, social gatherings) and commercial shoots (e.g., product photography, corporate portraits, real estate).
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific photographic requirements for each project.
- Utilize professional camera equipment, lighting setups, and accessories to capture high-quality images in diverse environments.
- Perform extensive post-production editing, including colour correction, retouching, cropping, and formatting, using industry-standard software.
- Ensure timely delivery of edited photographs in required formats, adhering to agreed-upon deadlines.
- Maintain and regularly service professional photography equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage project timelines, schedules, and client communications effectively.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current photography trends and techniques.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual outcome of projects.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Events and/or Commercial Photographer with a strong, diverse portfolio.
- Expert proficiency in using professional-grade DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, and external flash systems.
- Advanced skills in photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, or Capture One.
- Excellent understanding of photography principles including lighting, composition, exposure, and colour theory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and subjects.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Reliable personal transportation for traveling to various shoot locations within and around Abuja.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Familiarity with drone photography for aerial shots.
