Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute event photography sessions, including corporate events, conferences, workshops, and social gatherings, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Conduct commercial photography shoots for products, services, corporate headshots, and marketing materials, adhering strictly to client brand guidelines and creative briefs.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and specific photography requirements for each project.
- Utilize advanced photography equipment and techniques to capture high-quality images in various lighting conditions and environments.
- Perform professional post-production editing, including colour correction, retouching, cropping, and formatting, using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
- Manage and organize digital assets, ensuring timely delivery of final edited images to clients.
- Maintain and care for personal photography equipment, ensuring it is always in optimal working condition.
- Provide creative input and recommendations to enhance visual storytelling and achieve desired artistic outcomes.
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, ensuring efficient workflow and client satisfaction.
- Network and build professional relationships within the creative and business communities in Abuja.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional photographer with a strong portfolio showcasing both event and commercial work.
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and other photography accessories.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for photo editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of photographic principles, composition, lighting, and colour theory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts and manage client expectations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various client locations within Abuja.
- Business acumen for managing freelance operations, including invoicing and client contracts.
