As a freelance Photographer specializing in Events & Commercial work, you will be instrumental in bringing our clients’ visions to life. From capturing the energy and essence of corporate conferences, seminars, and product launches to creating visually stunning imagery for marketing campaigns, brand promotions, and professional headshots, your work will be varied and impactful. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand project requirements, scope, and desired outcomes for events and commercial shoots.
- Plan and prepare for shoots, including scouting locations, selecting appropriate equipment, and developing shot lists.
- Execute on-site photography with a focus on capturing high-quality, impactful images that align with client briefs.
- Manage lighting, composition, and camera settings to achieve desired photographic effects and aesthetics.
- Perform professional post-production tasks, including culling, editing, retouching, and color grading images using industry-standard software.
- Ensure timely delivery of final edited photographs in specified formats to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain and care for photographic equipment, ensuring it is in excellent working condition.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual storytelling of projects.
- Adhere to ethical photography practices and respect client confidentiality.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Events and/or Commercial Photographer (portfolio required).
- Expertise in operating professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and various lenses.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other relevant photo editing software.
- Strong understanding of lighting techniques (natural and artificial) and composition principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and subjects.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Access to professional-grade photography equipment (camera bodies, lenses, lighting, etc.).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of event and commercial photography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with videography and video editing is a plus.
- Familiarity with local event venues and commercial spaces in Abuja.
