Job Description
HealthPlus Pharmacy is actively seeking a diligent and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our vibrant team in Abuja. This full-time, on-site support role is crucial to the smooth and efficient operation of our pharmacy outlet, ensuring that our pharmacists can focus on clinical aspects of patient care while you handle essential operational tasks. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be the backbone of our dispensing process, responsible for assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Your daily activities will range from accurately entering prescription data and processing payments to maintaining a clean and organized work environment and offering friendly, professional assistance to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications, including accurate counting, pouring, mixing, and packaging of drugs.
- Process patient prescriptions, including entering information into the pharmacy system, verifying insurance, and handling payment transactions.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including receiving, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies, and identifying expired or damaged products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, locating over-the-counter products, and resolving issues with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment, ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Answer phone calls and direct them appropriately, ensuring efficient communication within the pharmacy and with external parties.
- Assist with compounding medications under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, following strict protocols and safety guidelines.
- Adhere strictly to all pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and HealthPlus Pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills.

- Familiarity with Nigerian pharmaceutical regulations and standards.
- Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and electronic health records (EHR).
