Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing prescription medications, including counting, pouring, measuring, and labeling.
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary information is collected and verified.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Answer phones and assist patients and healthcare providers with inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process insurance claims and resolve basic billing issues.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to pharmacy practice, as well as company policies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy work environment.
- Learn and adapt to new pharmacy technologies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to all patients and caregivers.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
