Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our team in Thohoyandou, Limpopo. As a Pharmacist at Clicks, you will play a crucial role in providing essential pharmaceutical services, expert advice, and exceptional customer care. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medication and provide comprehensive patient counseling on proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including stock control, ordering, and maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Ensure strict adherence to all pharmaceutical laws, ethical guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide professional advice and recommendations for over-the-counter medications and health supplements.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and resolve any medication-related issues.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality of all medical information.
- Actively participate in health promotion initiatives and chronic disease management programs.
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy support staff, ensuring high standards of practice and service delivery.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Pharmacy degree (BPharm)
- Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
- Minimum 2 years of post-community service/internship experience as a Pharmacist
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical dispensing software and general computer literacy
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a retail pharmacy setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a small team
- Fluency in local indigenous languages commonly spoken in Limpopo
