Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and experienced Full-Time Pharmacist to join our dedicated team at Pharmacie Lafayette Opéra in the vibrant city of Paris. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified professional to play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care and advice to our diverse customer base. As a Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for dispensing prescription medications accurately and safely, ensuring patient understanding of dosages, potential side effects, and adherence protocols. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications, verifying dosage and instructions with patients, and performing drug utilization reviews.
  • Provide comprehensive counseling to patients on medication use, potential side effects, drug interactions, proper storage, and adherence strategies.
  • Offer expert and personalized advice on over-the-counter products, dietary supplements, medical devices, and health-related inquiries.
  • Manage and maintain pharmaceutical inventory, including ordering, receiving, stock rotation, managing returns, and performing regular expiration date checks to minimize waste.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all French pharmaceutical laws, regulations, professional standards, and company policies.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians, interns, and other support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Process insurance claims and handle patient billing with accuracy, discretion, and a clear understanding of the French healthcare system.
  • Participate in health promotion campaigns, public health initiatives, and patient education programs within the local community.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to hygiene and safety protocols.
  • Handle patient queries, concerns, and complaints professionally, seeking effective and empathetic resolutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient outcomes and care coordination.

Required Skills

  • State Diploma of Pharmacist (Diplôme d'État de Docteur en Pharmacie) recognized in France.
  • Registration with the Ordre National des Pharmaciens (National Order of Pharmacists) in France, in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmaceutical products, French pharmaceutical regulations, and best practices in patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with complete fluency in French (both written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in common pharmacy management software and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to work accurately, efficiently, and meticulously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong ethical standards, a patient-centered approach, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fluency in English or other languages to effectively cater to our diverse international clientele.
  • Familiarity with specific pharmacy software commonly used in France (e.g., Winpharma, Pharmagest).
  • Additional certifications or specializations in areas such as dermatology, nutrition, phytotherapy, or homeopathy.
  • Experience in team leadership or mentorship within a pharmacy setting.
