Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications by accurately retrieving, counting, pouring, weighing, and measuring dosages.
- Prepare medication labels and maintain organized patient medication profiles.
- Process prescription refills and new prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage and maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, monitoring expiration dates, and assisting with order placement.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and escalating complex issues to the pharmacist.
- Handle cash register transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, and data entry.
- Adhere strictly to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.
