Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Pharmacist in dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety.
- Receive, verify, and store pharmaceutical supplies and over-the-counter products.
- Maintain organized inventory, monitor stock levels, and prepare orders for replenishment.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing patient inquiries and assisting with product selection.
- Process patient prescriptions and insurance claims with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare medication labels and maintain proper patient records.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in compounding medications under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, if applicable.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate daily sales records.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding medication usage, side effects, and storage.
- Adhere strictly to all pharmaceutical guidelines, policies, and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory and record management.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of responsibility and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency in English and Swahili.
Preferred Qualifications
