Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified Pest Control Technicians with the preparation and application of pest management treatments.
- Learn and apply safe handling procedures for all equipment and chemicals, strictly adhering to company safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties under supervision, identifying pest activity and potential entry points.
- Prepare work sites by setting up equipment, mixing solutions according to specifications, and ensuring the area is ready for treatment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, explaining procedures, answering basic questions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Maintain and clean company vehicles, equipment, and tools, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.
- Accurately complete service reports, record-keeping, and other necessary documentation for each job.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in pest control techniques and safety.
- Adhere to all local, provincial, and national health and safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed.
Required Skills
- Valid South African Driver's License (Code B/8)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to lift up to 25kg, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions (indoors/outdoors, confined spaces).
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Customer-centric attitude with good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and commit to continuous professional development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a field service, general labour, or outdoor work environment.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures when handling chemicals.
- First Aid certification.
