This unique, live-in opportunity calls for a dedicated individual who can provide seamless, safe, and reliable transportation services, ensuring the family’s daily movements are executed with the utmost precision and confidentiality.
As a Personal Driver, you will be an integral part of the family’s support system, responsible for chauffeuring principals, children, and guests to various appointments, school runs, social engagements, and business meetings within Lagos and occasionally outside the city. This role demands more than just driving; it requires a proactive approach to route planning, diligent vehicle maintenance, and a keen sense of anticipation to ensure optimal safety and comfort at all times. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport family members and guests to designated locations.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in pristine condition, ensuring regular cleaning, servicing, and reporting of any issues.
- Plan and execute optimal routes, considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and security protocols.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety and comfort of passengers.
- Maintain absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding the family's personal and business affairs.
- Be available for scheduled drives, as well as on-call for urgent or unexpected transportation needs, including evenings and weekends.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, shopping, and other items as required.
- Keep accurate logs of journeys, mileage, and vehicle maintenance.
- Perform daily safety checks on the vehicle (tyres, oil, water, fuel, lights, etc.).
- Adapt to changing schedules and last-minute requests with professionalism and flexibility.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a personal or corporate driver (minimum 5 years)
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos road networks, alternative routes, and traffic patterns
- Strong defensive driving skills and a clean driving record
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
- Good communication skills (written and verbal) in English
- Punctuality and reliability
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle checks and troubleshooting
- Ability to use GPS navigation systems effectively
- Respectful and courteous demeanor
