Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised, discreet, and proactive Personal Assistant for Family Support to join a private household associated with Adron Homes & Properties, located in Agbowa, Ikorodu. This is a unique live-in opportunity designed for an individual who can seamlessly integrate into a family environment, providing comprehensive administrative, logistical, and personal support. The successful candidate will be the cornerstone of daily household operations, ensuring smooth functioning, effective time management for family members, and meticulous handling of various domestic and personal affairs. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to anticipate needs and act proactively.
Your primary objective will be to relieve family members of day-to-day pressures, allowing them to focus on their professional and personal commitments with peace of mind. This encompasses managing household schedules, coordinating appointments, running errands, handling correspondence, and assisting with family-related projects. Discretion, trustworthiness, and an unwavering commitment to confidentiality are paramount. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain daily schedules, appointments, and calendars for family members, ensuring timely reminders and coordination.
- Organise and coordinate household errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, postal services, and other essential procurements.
- Handle all aspects of household management, including liaising with domestic staff, vendors, and service providers (e.g., electricians, plumbers, gardeners).
- Assist with personal correspondence, emails, and phone calls, drafting replies and ensuring effective communication.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodation, and transportation for family members.
- Manage household budgets and expenses, tracking purchases, processing invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assist with planning and execution of family events, social gatherings, and special occasions.
- Oversee the organisation and maintenance of household records, documents, and personal files.
- Provide support for children's activities, school schedules, and appointments, including occasional pick-ups/drop-offs.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and discretion regarding all family matters and personal information.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks and projects as required to support the smooth functioning of the household.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or in a similar support role, preferably within a private household setting.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with various digital communication tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Valid Nigerian driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and work effectively within a family setting.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and demands, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
- Previous live-in experience as a Personal Assistant or Nanny.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with household budget management and basic accounting.
- Ability to speak local languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
