Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding, always prioritizing dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, promptly reporting any significant changes to nursing staff.
- Support patient mobility, assisting with transfers, ambulation, and positioning to prevent complications and promote recovery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient environment, ensuring supplies are stocked and equipment is readily available.
- Document patient care activities, observations, and inputs/outputs precisely in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, providing updates and addressing concerns.
- Respond to patient call lights promptly and efficiently, demonstrating attentiveness and empathy.
- Perform basic medical procedures as trained and delegated by a registered nurse, such as specimen collection or glucose monitoring.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Strong empathetic ability and a genuine desire to help others.
- Reliability and strong work ethic, including punctuality and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation purposes.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients as needed throughout a shift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
