Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet customers upon arrival and guide them to their tables or to the ordering counter.
- Present menus, inform customers of daily specials, and answer questions about food and beverage items.
- Accurately take food and drink orders using our point-of-sale system, ensuring all special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and courteously.
- Check on customers to ensure satisfaction with food and service, and promptly address any concerns.
- Clear tables, clean and sanitize dining areas, and reset tables for the next guests.
- Handle cash and card payments accurately, process transactions, and issue receipts.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as setting up condiments, refilling drink stations, and packaging takeout orders.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service operations.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness throughout the restaurant, including restrooms and entrance areas.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.

- Previous experience (6+ months) in a fast-food or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices.

- Proficiency in Swahili and basic English; knowledge of local languages (e.g., Maasai) is a plus.
