Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver customer orders from the Naivas Supermarket branch in Naivasha to various residential and commercial locations within the designated delivery zone.
- Verify the accuracy of all orders against delivery notes before leaving the store and upon delivery to the customer.
- Handle cash and electronic payments accurately, providing correct change and processing transactions securely.
- Provide excellent customer service during all interactions, maintaining a polite, professional, and friendly demeanor.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies at all times.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good working condition of the delivery vehicle (whether company-provided or personal).
- Communicate effectively with the store management, dispatch team, and customers regarding delivery status or any potential issues.
- Assist with in-store tasks, such as order picking or packing, during downtime or as required by store management.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is properly completed and submitted.
Required Skills
- Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class BCE for car, or Class A for motorcycle/scooter).
- Excellent navigation skills and strong familiarity with Naivasha town and its surrounding areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize deliveries efficiently.
- High level of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Physical ability to lift and carry delivery items weighing up to 15 kg.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
