Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process all customer transactions, including cash, card, and mobile payments, using the POS system.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized checkout area, ensuring it adheres to hygiene standards.
- Scan items accurately and efficiently, ensuring correct pricing and promotions are applied.
- Handle cash responsibly, reconcile daily transactions, and report any discrepancies.
- Assist with basic merchandising tasks, such as restocking shelves near the checkout, as needed.
- Promote store loyalty programs or special offers to customers.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to security and loss prevention.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic mathematical aptitude for cash handling
- Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system (training provided)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
