Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently process customer transactions using our POS (Point of Sale) system, handling cash, card payments, and other forms of tender accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers warmly, assisting with product inquiries, and resolving minor issues with a positive attitude.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organised checkout area and store environment, ensuring shelves are stocked and products are neatly displayed.
- Assist with merchandising and stock rotation, ensuring products are fresh and available for purchase.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, including age verification for restricted sales (e.g., alcohol, tobacco).
- Support your team in various store duties as required, contributing to a harmonious and productive work atmosphere.
- Handle customer returns and exchanges in line with company policy.
- Open and close tills, ensuring cash reconciliation is accurate.
- Promote Scotmid's loyalty programs and special offers to customers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
