Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general grounds maintenance tasks including mowing, strimming, weeding, watering, and pruning.
  • Plant and maintain floral displays, shrubs, and trees according to seasonal schedules and design plans.
  • Collect and dispose of litter, debris, and fallen leaves to ensure cleanliness and safety.
  • Carry out minor repairs to park furniture, pathways, and play equipment as required.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of hand tools and powered machinery safely and effectively.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of special projects, such as landscaping improvements or event setups.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
  • Engage courteously with park visitors and answer general queries when appropriate.

Required Skills

  • Basic knowledge of horticulture or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
