Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our network of healthcare professionals serving the community of Digdaga, Ras Al Khaimah. As a vital member of the emergency medical services team, you will be on the front lines, responding to a diverse range of medical emergencies and providing critical pre-hospital care. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls, assessing situations and determining the necessary course of action.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations.
- Administer advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) interventions, including medication administration, airway management, cardiac monitoring, and IV initiation.
- Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment, ensuring readiness for immediate use.
- Safely transport patients to medical facilities while continuously monitoring their condition and providing ongoing care.
- Accurately document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions in patient records and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, bystanders, and medical staff, providing clear and concise information.
- Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and fire departments, at incident scenes.
- Adhere strictly to all medical protocols, ethical guidelines, and safety regulations.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain certifications and enhance skills.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of emergency vehicles and equipment.
- Provide patient education and support as appropriate, offering comfort and reassurance.
Required Skills
- Valid Paramedic license/certification recognized in the UAE (DOH, HAAD, DHA MOHAP).
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Paramedic in an emergency setting.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and equipment operation.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in high-stress environments.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry patients and equipment.
- Valid UAE Driving License (or equivalent with willingness to obtain UAE license).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Paramedical Science or a related field.
- Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in Arabic (both verbal and written).
