Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching, and caulking.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
- Ensure high-quality finishes, smooth textures, and clean lines on all projects.
- Protect surrounding areas and furnishings from paint splatters and damage.
- Communicate effectively with clients and project managers regarding project status and any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols on job sites.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of equipment and supplies.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience as a residential and/or commercial painter.
- Proficiency in various painting techniques and methods (brush, roller, spray gun).
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and materials.
- Ability to mix and match paint colors accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for quality finish.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform painting tasks, including climbing ladders and lifting.
- Reliable transportation to various job sites within the Irvine area.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures and precautions.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
- Experience with specialized coatings or finishes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills.
- Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
