Job Description

Career.supersecrets is seeking a highly organized, meticulous, and proactive Operations Clerk with a strong focus on logistics for an immediate hire position in Wajir, Wajir County. This crucial full-time role places you at the very heart of our operational success, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and information within a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As an Operations Clerk specializing in logistics, you will be instrumental in managing day-to-day logistical activities, from coordinating shipments and tracking inventory to maintaining comprehensive records and liaising with various stakeholders. Your expertise will directly contribute to efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of resources, supporting our broader mission and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain precise inventory records, including stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to facilitate smooth logistics operations.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documents, invoices, waybills, and other relevant paperwork.
  • Track and monitor the status of deliveries, providing updates to stakeholders as required.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of invoices and resolve any billing discrepancies related to logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulatory requirements in all logistics activities.
  • Identify and report any operational bottlenecks or issues, proposing solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Operate and maintain office equipment, ensuring a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Support general administrative duties as needed to ensure the efficient functioning of the office.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 18 months of proven experience in an operations, logistics, or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience with inventory management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with local logistical routes and supply chain best practices in Kenya.
  • A track record of taking initiative and contributing to process improvements.
