Wintrust Financial Corporation is seeking a talented and highly motivated Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team in Bridgeport, Chicago. This pivotal role is central to enhancing operational efficiency across various departments, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring the seamless execution of our financial services. As an Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for meticulously analyzing complex operational data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that streamline workflows and improve productivity. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including technology, product, and compliance, to understand business needs, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to projects that enhance our service delivery and customer experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of operational processes, workflows, and data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement solutions to optimize operational performance, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
  • Prepare detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and the impact of implemented solutions to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including IT, finance, and front-line staff, to gather requirements, support system enhancements, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Document current-state processes and future-state designs, ensuring clarity and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for new systems or process changes, providing feedback and ensuring functionality meets business needs.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new processes, systems, and tools.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously improve operational capabilities.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related analytical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Operations Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex data and insights clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to financial operations.
  • Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP).
