Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and interactive online tutoring sessions for individual students or small groups.
- Assist students with homework, assignments, and exam preparation in specified subjects within the Kenyan curriculum.
- Provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback on student performance and progress, identifying areas for improvement.
- Customize teaching methods and materials to cater to diverse learning styles and academic needs of each student.
- Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance learning content and resources, contributing to their continuous improvement.
- Monitor and track student attendance, participation, and academic growth using designated online tools.
- Maintain a positive, supportive, and motivating virtual learning environment, fostering trust and rapport with students.
- Respond promptly to student inquiries and provide academic guidance and encouragement.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and technological proficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in teaching/tutoring at least two subjects within the Kenyan curriculum (e.g., Mathematics, English, Sciences, Kiswahili) at primary or secondary levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Strong proficiency in using online collaboration tools, video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet), and learning management systems (LMS).
- Ability to explain complex concepts in an understandable, engaging, and patient manner.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple student schedules and tasks effectively.
- Empathy, patience, and a strong commitment to student success and well-being.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, conducive home office environment suitable for remote work.
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related academic field.
