Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and highly experienced Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) to lead and manage our critical offshore production facilities located in the dynamic and challenging operational environment off the coast of Warri, Delta. As the OIM, you will be the ultimate authority and designated Person-in-Charge offshore, holding comprehensive responsibility for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the entire offshore installation. This encompasses a broad spectrum of activities including hydrocarbon production, routine and corrective maintenance, drilling support operations, marine vessel management, helicopter logistics, and the overall well-being of all personnel onboard. This is a pivotal leadership role demanding a proven track record in orchestrating complex offshore operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety for human life, safeguarding valuable assets, and maintaining stringent environmental integrity.

Key Responsibilities
- Assume overall command and control of the offshore installation, ensuring the safety of all personnel, assets, and environmental protection at all times.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of offshore personnel, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and international regulations (e.g., DPR, IMO), company policies, safety standards, and environmental protection guidelines.
- Oversee and optimize all hydrocarbon production, maintenance, drilling support, marine, and logistics operations on the installation.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans and act as the designated On-Scene Commander during any emergency situations.
- Manage operational budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising safety or integrity.
- Conduct regular safety drills, audits, and inspections, ensuring all safety equipment is operational and personnel are adequately trained and competent.
- Liaise effectively with onshore management, regulatory bodies, third-party contractors, and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee the competency development, training, and performance management of all offshore staff.
- Actively implement and promote SPDC's Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies and procedures.
- Ensure efficient reporting of incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and lead thorough investigations to prevent recurrence.
- Approve and manage the Permit-to-Work system, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established procedures.
Required Skills
- Extensive experience (minimum 15 years) in offshore oil and gas operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership/OIM capacity.
- Possession of valid STCW Certificates and all other mandatory offshore certifications (e.g., BOSIET/FOET, H2S, Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate).
- Deep and comprehensive understanding of offshore hydrocarbon production, drilling, marine, and maintenance operations.
- Proven leadership, management, and team-building skills in a complex and multicultural offshore environment.
- Exceptional understanding of HSSE management systems and incident command systems.
- Strong knowledge of relevant international and national oil and gas industry regulations (e.g., DPR, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency in operational planning, budgeting, and resource management.
- Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and manage complex situations effectively and decisively.
- Valid International Passport and ability to work offshore on a rotational basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Mariner (Class 1) or Chief Engineer (Class 1) certification.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Marine, or Chemical) or a related technical field.
- Demonstrated experience operating in the West African offshore environment, particularly Nigeria.
- Advanced certifications in Incident Command and Emergency Management.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and offshore maintenance management software.
